2009: Best Moments in a Theater

Chick 1 says:star-trek

(I know everyone else is done with “year in review” articles but it is still January…just barely.)

Following a canon-destroying scene, the title card comes up with Michael Giacchino’s magnificent score underneath it. I am about to watch one of the best scifi movies in a long time. (Star Trek)

A couple of new fascinating trailers.  Enjoy!

Review: Julie & Julia

Chick 1 says:julieandjulia

I actually came across the book that this movie is based on a couple of months ago in a thrift store.  I bought it for $1 and read it pretty quickly.  It’s a light, easy read.  Was looking forward to this, especially seeing Meryl Streep as Julia Child.  Yummo!

What I Liked:  Of course, Meryl Streep is magnificent.  Read more

5:50 pm: All six children from the cast of Slumdog Millionaire being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest.  Was that not the most adorable thing ever?!  I could have eaten them all for dessert.  Closely followed by the other cast members from Slumdog, all humble, excited, and a little giddy.  And they seem to handling the whirlwind surrounding their film quite well.  I hope this movie wins Best Picture!
